obesity

Obesity is very common disease and some people don't know why it is dangerous and some people don't care about obesity but it is very harmful so i thing people should know about obesity and manage their body. I chose to make a poster about obesity because a poster can show you detailed at a glance about obesity. And I have learned that these strategies exercise, eat healthy and monitor weight are helpful to use if you obesity. I answered my 5 big questions like this

What is obesity?

-Obesity is a medical term used to describe excess body weight.

Why is it harmful?

-Obesity increases risk of diabetes, high pressed blood, heart disease,

high blood sugar and high cholesterol.

Who is at risk for obesity?

-Low income, above 60 years old and who likes to eat junk foods, snacks and juice.

How does it affect us?

- Obesity can cause lots of disease. It can affects our health.

How do you overcome obesity?

circuit

cell: Supplies energy to circuit, by pushing current from the positive to negative end

voltmeter: A device used to measure voltage, or electrical potential energy difference

ammeter: A device used to measure current in a circuit

wire: A thin, flexible thread of metal

resistor: An electrical device that resists the flow of electrical current

bulb: In a circuit, this shows if electricity is flowing by lighting up

switch: A device that opens or closes a circuit

battery: A device that converts chemical energy to electrical energy

1.A circuit containing a battery, a light bulb, connected by wires-

2.Now add a switch into the circuit you just made, what happens when the switch is open or closed?-

3. Now click on the battery and increase the voltage it supplies to the  circuit. What happened?-

 6 definitions

static electricity:A build up of electrical charges on an object

current electricity: flow of electric charge.

electrical charge:electrical particles that are negatively charge

circuit:a  system that provides a pathway for electrical current to flow through

cell:Supplies energy to circuit, by pushing current from the positive to negative end

voltmeter:A device used to measure voltage, or electrical potential energy difference

examples of static electricity

1.hair stand when i brush my air

2.shocked when i put off my sweater

3.touching metal door

4.holding hand with friend

How does the Van der Graaff machine work?

it makes static electricity

What was one of the experiments they did with the machine?

put their hands on it

Describe what happened, what did you see?

their hair was stood

Why did you see this happen?

because of static electricity

eye dissecton

Aim: To dissect a cow's eye and look at the different parts of the eye

equipment:

1. cow's eye

2. scissors

3. dissecting tray

4. gloves

method:

1. set up the tray with newspaper on the desk, scissor and tweezers in the tray.

2. put on a rubber glove

3. remove excess fat meat from around eyeball before dissect it

4. use scissor to cut the cornea.once the cornea is broken, clear liquid will leak in the tray

5. remove the lens from iris

6. cut the eye in half.

leaderships

energy:

Definition:stored in an object, the ability to move something.

Different kind of energy-

light energy:the energy of the electromagnetic waves. Found in Microwaves, x-rays, and visible light.

heat energy:caused by the movement of particles. Found in all hot objects.

sound energy:energy produced by vibrating objects. Examples are speech, ultrasound and music.

chemical potential energy:Energy stored in the bonds between particles. Found in substances like petrol and food.

Electrical energy:the movement of electrically charge particles. Found in wires, generators and lighting.

Gravitational potential energy:Energy stored in objects due to their height above the ground.

Kinetic energy:Energy due to the motion of an object. Ex. Moving cars, running, swimming.

Elastic Potential energy:Energy stored in stretched or squashed objects. Examples are springs and rubber bands.

instrument involve

1.what have you studied in music this term?

-i studied piano and ukulele.

2.which instrument did you enjoyed?

-i enjoyed piano because i didn't play it ever.

3.Which instrument did you find the most challenging and why?

-guitar.because it is to big for me

4.Which instrument are you going to focus on for the rest of the term and why? What would you like to achieve?

piano.because it is still hard to me.

mac and cheese

 i used pasta,onion,salt,ham,milk,cheese,butter,flour and water.

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water during 10min.melt butter in a pan over medium heat; stir in flour and onion.pour milk into roux.mix the mixture untill it bubbling and smoothly.fold macaroni into the mixture and add some cheese and ham.

potato frittata

we need potato, black pepper, vegetables, salt, eggs, milk and some cheese for potato fritta ta.

Heat olive oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Place potatoes in the pan, cover and cook about 10 minutes until tender but firm.Mix in spinach, shallots or white onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes, until spinach is wilted. In a medium bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Pour into the pan over the vegetables.Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until eggs are firm.

piano

piano invented in Padua ,Italy by  Bartolomeo Cristofori. The first Piano looked Like a Harpsichord. When a key is pressed, a plectrum attached to a long strip of wood called a jack plucks the string to make music. This system of strings and soundboard, and the overall structure of the instrument resemble those that can be found in a piano. The piano is an acoustic instrument, meaning its sound is produced and amplified physically. In comparison, keyboards are electronic instruments with a variety of volume options, and often can produce sounds like piano, horns, strings, organs, synthesizers, and more.

music

 1.Why did you choose music?

I want to learn about music

2.What would you like to learn music

I like to sing and play instrument

3.Do you play an instrument? For how long? What can you play?

No

distillation experiment

 distillation

aim: to separate a solute from a solvent in a solution using distillation.

equipment:a solution of saltwater, conical flask, heatproof mat, a delivery tube and bung, bunsen burner, tripod, gauze mat, retort stand, boss head and clamp

hypothesis:sugar is left in conical flask and water is evaporated

method:
1. set up the equipment as shown in the diagram.
2. add approximately 50 ml of saltwater to your conical flask
3. light your bunsen burner ,open the air hole and gently push the busen burner under the tripod
4. heat the solution until most of solvent has been evaporated. turn off your busen burner

observation:cola is boiling and steam is coming out.

conclusion: sugar is left in conical flask and water is evaporated

chemicals and chaos

 evaporate experiment

intro:we have been learning about distillation, evaporation, dilution.
evaporation is when liquid to gas

aim:to evaporate copper sulfate. (sulfur oxygen)- (blue liquid)

hypothesis: i think that it will be disappeared.

equipment:Copper sulfate solution, 250mL Beaker, heat proof mat, evaporating basin, element.

method:
1. Set up element
2. Add 100mL of hot water to the beaker and place on the element.
3. Add copper sulfate to the evaporating basin until it is quarter full.
4. Carefully, place the the evaporating basin on top of the beaker.
5. Turn on the element to 3
6. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated and crystals of solute are forming.
7. Turn off the element- careful not to touch as will be hot for a long time.

Oberservations: the water starts to boil up,and steam is coming out the water

Conclusion: My hypothesis was right leaving the copper sulfate disapear after the water boiled up.

solute=solid
solvent=liquid
solution=mixture

Influences and fixes

 Influences and fixes.

In some relationship are unsafe and safe.

But how do you know your in an unsafe relationship?

A unsafe relationship is when you are getting mentally hurt and physical hurt.

Violence is when you are getting hurt and have bruises and cut over you from your partner.

Backstabbing is when someone is talking behind your back and telling other people things that they don’t say to your face.

Control is when you partner is telling or yelling at you to make you do something you don’t wanna do.

Jealousy is when your partner is jealous about something you have or do that they don’t have or do.

Toxic is when they do something to hurt your feeling and tell you to do things that you don’t like or wanna do.

You should talk to someone about it and if you can’t find way to deal with it.
